Series / Life Of The Party
This project questions and interrogates the 'main character syndrome' that defines contemporary youth, capturing the reckless, euphoric moments suspended in time. Through excess, intimacy, YOLO impulses and the unapologetic egocentric-ness, the youth is presented as if living in a constant centre stage. Influenced by pop culture, scenes of parties are staged, heightening the psychological theatres where youth performs itself. Through these charged compositions, femininity is explored through the tension between the male and female gaze, raising the question of who constructs the spectacle and who controls it.
