In Javanese culture, Semar is known as the jester, a member of the panakawan. Despite being a clown with prominent features, he is also wise and serves as a mediator between the divine and human realms. Semar is a clown who is both sacred and wise. Sometimes, I think about the Javanese jester, and at most, I look up to him.
