A question I tend to ask myself is, ‘Where do I belong?’. As a person of diaspora, my heart belongs in many places, whether it be in the hustling streets of Jakarta, the stillness of Al Ain or even the busy terrace of Grote Markt in The Hague. There are pieces of me I left behind in the places I called home and there are pieces of home that are forever instilled in my sense of self.
